MO POST Training - Building Entry and Room Clearing

Recently I completed an 8-hour Building Entry and Room Clearing course at the Law Enforcement Academy (MACLEA) as part of our Continuing Education requirements.

To maintain a Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) license, officers must complete a minimum of 24 hours of approved training each year. This can include firearms, legal studies, technical skills, or interpersonal development to name a few. All are critical areas of professional growth.

Some trainings are routine. Others are vital.

Training focused on clearing and securing schools is among the most important we do.
